The Ety-Pur Field has the largest oil reserves in Western Siberia. In addition to high-quality light oil, the field yields a significant amount of associated gas. In 2015 Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk began construction of a booster compressor station.
The facility was started up on October 29, 2020. It is designed to compress the associated petroleum gas from the Ety-Pur Field and cool it down for transportation via an interfield gas pipeline to the Vyngayakh Field. After comprehensive gas treatment, the natural gas is then fed into the Urengoy-Chelyabinsk gas pipeline.
The climatic conditions in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District are defined by the presence of permafrost. The winter season is up to 8 months long there. Considering such severe weather conditions, electric heating systems were incorporated in the engineering design of the booster compressor station at the Ety-Pur Field. Electric heating is necessary to protect the water supply and process lines from freezing. SST Group was responsible for the design and supply of heating cables and control cabinets, forming the electrical heating system for pipelines as part of internal and external utility systems, sewerage and water treatment plants, natural gas well clusters.
Self-regulating HTP and BTC cables and constant power (resistive) LLS cables were applied at the project facilities. The combined delivery contained 24.2 km of cables, which is equivalent to the length of 230 soccer fields. To control the electric heating systems, 15 low-voltage cabinets were installed on the project site.
